zero-waste design: the innovation
#WasteLessFuture
Our collection invites you to experience the new luxury of our innovative zero-waste design. Highest standards for sustainable and social production poured into garments with universal design, that you never want to take off again.
We are passionate about saving our resources. That is why we produce the complete collection with less than 1% of wastage and thus save around 20% of material in the cutting process.
With a maximum resource efficiency of over 99% and a waste reduction to less than 1%, Natascha's designs for the entire collection embrace zero-waste principles. Next to draping and knitting garments, Natascha created innovative zero-waste patterns, that incorporate curves to ensure an optimal fit on the body. The pattern pieces interlock so that waste, or textile scraps, are significantly minimized compared to the industry standard.
Natasha's zero-waste patterns minimize production waste in the cutting process for the entire collection to less than 1%, while the conventional fashion industry causes around 20% of waste per garment.

An impeccable fit is guaranteed by the complex nesting of the curves of the patterns. Natascha received the Bundespreis Ecodesign 2017 in the category product for her holistic sustainable concept and especially for the zero-waste pattern innovation.

our ZERO-WASTE PANTSUIT in numbers
Especially regarding our zero-waste design the lever is enormous. We create our zero-waste pantsuit out of 3.80 m2 of finest fair organic cotton. We save 1.29 m2 of material for each cut of the zero-waste pantsuit compared to a conventional pantsuit using about 5.18 m2 of material. Hence we save about 26% of the material for our zero-waste pantsuit. Thus each of our zero-waste pantsuit saves at least 0.31 kg cotton, 2.3 m2 of cotton cultivation area and 3 410 litres less fresh water.
Extrapolated to any large fashion company switching its production of cotton products to zero-waste cutting patterns, with an overall production volume of about 1.6 billion garments and a cotton content of 35%, this eventually results in saving 180 000 tons of cotton, 130 000 ha of arable land and two Billion m3 of fresh water.
With this zero-waste approach we are pioneering in the fashion industry to inspire a WasteLessFuture.
