zero-waste workshop for Bauhaus Weimar

zero-waste design studies for Bauhaus Weimar

Yesterday (15th of June 2020) I gave a three hour zero-waste design workshop for Bauhaus Weimar

My Workshops usually include tons of hands on challenges, so we experience the pros and cons and chances of zero-waste design together. Of course I also give input about my work and design concept and general ways to approach zero-waste design.

A real challenge for me was giving the course online, due to Covid-19 shut-down. As some of you may know, I am not necessarily on first name basis with new technology, but we made it work quite well.

Here are some impressions:

These are some of the results of an Impulse-design-challenge, that only takes 15 minutes to experience the benefits and challenges of zero-waste design. All students showed what their major in studies is - can you guess?

"Only garments, that are worn for a long time and with pleasure can ever be sustainable."
