You are invited to join our repair-workshop and panel-talk on February 8th!
Repairs are crucial to prolong the life of our clothes, reducing textile waste. Together with LoopLook, as part of the Studio2Retail program during Berlin Fashion Week, we will show and discuss how a repair can further refine the quality of a garment.
We will start the event at 5pm with Keiko Oboshis Sashiko workshop. Sashiko is a traditional embroidery technique from Japan, that can be used to repair garments.
After the workshop you can join our panel-talk, where we will talk with local actors about the practice of repair. Following our discussion we invite you, to reflect on the "right to repair" and to share your views on a resilient, sustainable movement during live-music and drinks.
5 - 6.30pm: Sashiko workshop with Keiko Oboshi (in German)
7 - 7.45pm: panel discussion (in German) (admission at 6.30pm)
8 - 10pm: live-music & drinks
Meet us at Natascha von Hirschhausen Store, Q 205 (EG), Friedrichstraße 67, 10117 Berlin.
We are looking forward to see you. Special thanks to Sparkasse Berlin, Studio2Retail and Fashion Council Germany for making this collaboration possible.
